About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Divisional Director to lead our Casualty Claims team in London and Milton Keynes. As a senior member of our claims department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality advice to the business, implementing operational plans, and driving business performance through others.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality advice to the business in a practical and commercially focused way.
- Implement operational plans for the team to achieve business goals.
- Drive business performance through others, facilitating effective planning, control, and support mechanisms.
- Manage assigned projects and contribute to other projects as required.
- Provide relevant management information to senior management.
- Contribute to the strategic vision for the claims function.
- Develop strong relationships with markets and contribute to the identification of opportunities and business growth.
- Deal with producing brokers and clients on larger, more complex accounts and claims.
- Create comprehensive claims documents.
- Ensure up-to-date records are maintained at all times on the Group systems.
- Interpret instructions and issues arising, and implement actions according to policies and procedures.
- Act as a senior referral escalation point for the team.
- Provide expert-level technical oversight of high-exposure claims.
- Drive a superior claims experience and ensure continuous improvement.
- Apply advanced expertise to review relevant documentation and present claims to underwriters.
About You
We are looking for an individual with extensive experience in the insurance environment, particularly in claims capacity. You should have experience working in a high-pressure, multitasking environment and have some experience managing and coaching others in a team. You should also have a strong awareness of the regulatory environment and requirements.
