**About the Role**

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Biomedical Scientist to join its Haematology team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of diagnostic tests, including blood counts and coagulation studies, and providing expert advice to clinicians.

We offer a competitive salary of £40,500-£57,280 per annum, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Haematology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of diagnostic tests, including blood counts and coagulation studies.
  • Provide expert advice to clinicians on test results and laboratory procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, as required.
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities.

Requirements

  • Registered with the HCPC as a Biomedical Scientist.
  • Holds the IBMS Certificate of Competence and Registration Portfolio.
  • Has at least 3 years post-registration diagnostic experience in Haematology & Blood Transfusion.
  • Has experience with computerised laboratory information systems.
  • Has previous experience working in a large medical laboratory.
