Job Title: Hygiene Operative

The Hygiene Operative plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards within the warehouse, distribution, and work areas at Boohoo Group. This position is critical in ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient working environment for all staff while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Replenish consumables in washrooms, clean down toilet bases, urinals, pipe work, skirting boards, sinks, mirrors, and sweep and mop floors.
  • Sanitize surfaces and appliances in canteens, replenish paper consumables, sweep and mop/machine floors, and feather flick high-level areas.
  • Wipe down office surfaces, empty waste bins, remove hand marks from glass panelling, and mop/machine floors in offices.
  • Sanitize wipe down surfaces and handheld areas in the gym, vacuum floors, mop/machine floors, and clean shower cubicles and frames.
  • Wipe down surfaces, sweep/mop/empty waste bins, vacuum carpeted areas, remove hand marks from glass panelling, wipe down skirting boards, turnstile gates, and glass panelling, and mop & machine floors in communal areas.
  • Sweep/machine shop floors, vac pack warehouse stairwells, empty waste bins, and designated on-site smoking areas in the warehouse.
  • Litter pick around the inside ground of the carpark and surrounding walkways, empty carpark bins, and sign off designated tasks once complete.
Requirements:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good time-management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina for long periods of standing, walking, and manual work.
  • Ability to follow health and safety procedures strictly.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning and hygiene standards.
  • Problem-solving skills for identifying and addressing cleanliness issues.
