Hygiene Operations Specialist

About the Role
The Hygiene Operative will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards in the warehouse, distribution, and work areas. This is crucial to providing a safe, organized, and efficient working environment for all staff while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Washrooms: Replenish consumables, clean down toilets, urinals, and floors.
- Canteens: Sanitize surfaces, replenish paper consumables, and sweep/mop floors.
- Offices: Wipe down surfaces, empty waste bins, and remove hand marks from glass panelling.
- Gym: Sanitize surfaces, vacuum floors, and mop/machine floors.
- Shower rooms: Wipe down shower cubicles, replenish paper and hygiene consumables, and clean down toilets.
- Communal Areas: Wipe down surfaces, sweep/mop/empty waste bins, and vacuum carpeted areas.
- Warehouse: Sweep/machine shop floors, empty waste bins, and vacuum stairwells.
- External Areas: Sweep surrounding areas, empty waste bins, and cigarette bins.
- Litter Pick: Pick up litter around the carpark and surrounding walkways, and empty carpark bins.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good time-management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina for long periods of standing, walking, and manual work.
- Ability to follow health and safety procedures strictly.
- Basic understanding of cleaning and hygiene standards.
- Problem-solving skills for identifying and addressing cleanliness issues.
