Senior Slitter Operator

Location: Confidential

Shift: Rotating 12 hour Day & Night Shifts (working an average of 14 shifts per month)

Salary: £27,860

Rapid Recruit are seeking an experienced Slitter Operator to join their client based in Confidential. This is a full-time, permanent position. As part of a team, you will be responsible for creating and supplying high-performance packaging for everyday products, liaising with the Shift Manager.

  1. Operate high speed Slitting Machinery in accordance with the conversion of flexible packaging.
  2. Perform basic maintenance to the machine (lubrication, clean-downs, etc.).
  3. Monitor and address machine low run hours, speeds, waste levels, set ups, etc.
  4. Conduct quality inspections and administration in line with customer specifications and standards.
  5. Liaise with the Shift Manager to ensure that Engineering breakdowns are reported and fixed quickly considering priorities at all times.
  6. Ensure all machines have enough material in order to maximise machine uptime.
  7. Maintain high standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping at all times.
  8. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements & Qualifications
  1. A minimum of 1 year experience within a machine operative role.

Full training will be provided.
