Highway Maintenance/Roads Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Highway Maintenance/Roads Manager to join our client, a well-established road management organisation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the management of highway assets maintenance on a day-to-day basis and over their lifecycle, including improvements in accordance with DBFO requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the management of all highways operations and maintenance activities as required by the DBFO Company.
  • Proactively managing all operatives and contractors to ensure projects are completed to time and estimated costs.
  • Ensuring compliance with set budget, industry standards, and H&S regulations.
  • Developing a capable and motivated team to support a well-functioning and productive environment.
  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to facilitate the development of innovative and sustainable solutions for complex highway schemes.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, including local authorities, contractors, and consultants, to ensure that maintenance jobs and projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in highway maintenance and management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of highway assets and maintenance practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
