Job Title: Highways Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Highways Engineer to join our team at Coast Specialist Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the maintenance and repair of highways and transportation infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the management of all highways operations and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with DBFO requirements and industry standards.
  • Proactively manage operatives and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement effective processes and procedures to improve the maintenance and repair of highways and transportation infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including local authorities, contractors, and consultants, to ensure efficient delivery of maintenance jobs and projects.
  • Manage the administrative tasks, records, and registers, including response to complaints, abnormal loads, insurance claims, and other enquiries.
Requirements:
  • Highways asset management experience.
  • Highways design experience.
  • Highway construction project management experience.
  • Managing performance of an individual and the team.
  • Budget and cost management experience.
  • Procurement of contracts and contract management experience.
  • Stakeholder liaison and change management.
