Marine Engineer/Technician Job Opportunity

Marine Resources Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Marine Engineer/Technician to join our client in Poole. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the refit and repair of lifeboats, including modification, maintenance, and diagnostics of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake refit/repair of existing lifeboats, including modification, repair/maintenance, vessel strip down and assembly, and diagnostics of mechanical systems.
  2. Work in conjunction with other team members to ensure tasks are completed in a structured and professional manner.
  3. Ensure that lifeboats are built and refitted on time and within budget, meeting the RNLI's stringent quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Relevant City and Guilds or NVQ level 3/BTEC qualifications, time served apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience of boat production, marine refits, and repairs, laminating and working with epoxy composite materials is desirable.
