Marine Engineer/Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Marine Engineer/Technician to join our team at Marine Resources Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the refit and repair of lifeboats, including modification, repair/maintenance, vessel strip down and assembly, and diagnostics of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake refit/repair of existing lifeboats, including modification, repair/maintenance, vessel strip down and assembly, and diagnostics of mechanical systems.
  2. Work in conjunction with other team members to ensure tasks are completed in a structured and professional manner.
  3. Ensure that lifeboats are built and refitted on time and within budget, meeting the RNLI's stringent quality standards.
  4. Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Relevant City and Guilds or NVQ level 3/BTEC qualifications, time served apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience of boat production, marine refits, and repairs, laminating and working with epoxy composite materials.
