We are seeking a skilled Marine Engineer/Technician to join our team at Marine Resources. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the refit and repair of lifeboats, including modification, repair, and maintenance of mechanical systems.

You will work closely with other team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, adhering to Engineering drawings and standardized work procedures. A multi-skilled approach and ability to work safely and efficiently are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Refit and repair of lifeboats, including modification, repair, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
  2. Work closely with other team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  3. Adhere to Engineering drawings and standardized work procedures.
  4. Ensure safe and efficient working practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant City and Guilds or NVQ level 3/BTEC qualifications, time served apprenticeship, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience of boat production, marine refits, and repairs, laminating, and working with epoxy composite materials.
