Psychiatry Consultant Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Early Intervention Psychosis and TIDES teams at Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation NHS Trust. This is a unique opportunity for a medical professional to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals experiencing psychotic illnesses.
Job Summary:
This role involves providing Consultant Psychiatry input to our Early Intervention Psychosis and TIDES services, working closely with our multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care to patients across the Norfolk Region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing medical input to our Early Intervention Psychosis team, focusing on those aged 18-69 years.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of clinical strategies for At Risk Mental State patients aged 14-35 through the TIDES Service.
- Working collaboratively with psychologists, CBT therapists, family workers, and nurses to deliver NICE-concordant treatment.
- Collaborating with GMC-registered professionals to ensure effective teamwork and leadership within the service.
Requirements:
- A clear understanding of Clinical Governance and commitment to open review of practice.
- Experience of supervising junior medical staff and teaching/presentation skills.
- Entry on the GMC register, Section 12(2) Approved under the Mental Health Act (MHA), Approved Clinician Status, and Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCST.
- 6 months experience in a relevant clinical area, 3 years or equivalent medical experience, and evidence of knowledge of diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex mental illness.

Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation NHS Trust offers a comprehensive benefits package, including up to £12,000 relocation expenses, access to £2,000 per annum professional development budget, dedicated SPA time of up to 25% of working hours, paid study leave, and potential extra PA for DCC with requisite pay per PA.
Salary: Up to £120,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
