Consultant in Elderly Care

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Consultant to join our team in the James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work alongside two other geriatricians on Ward 12 (Care of the Elderly) to improve the care of older people with complex needs.
Main Duties- Develop the Care of the Elderly service.
- Support frail elderly patients on the Acute Medical Unit (EADU).
- Provide a consultation and advisory service to medical colleagues.
- Liaise with medical staff and participate in regular clinical meetings.
- Take part in the continuing medical education programme.
- MBBS or Basic Medical Degree.
- MRCP or equivalent.
- Hold a certificate or be within 6 months of completion of training or be on or eligible for the UK Specialist Register at the date of interview.
- Full GMC registration.
- MD/PhD.
- Possession of ALS.
