Mental Health Social Worker

About the Role
The Emergency Duty Service (EDS) is responsible for safeguarding vulnerable adults and children outside of normal office hours. As a dedicated and experienced Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the community's well-being.
- Conduct urgent child protection investigations and risk assessments to identify potential threats.
- Making immediate decisions to safeguard children, including placing them in emergency care arrangements.
- Prepare and submit court applications to protect vulnerable individuals.
- Represent the Council in court proceedings to ensure the best interests of children and adults at risk.
- Collaborate with police, health, and other agencies to ensure a coordinated response.
Job Requirements
- Holds Qualified Social Work England registration.
- Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience in child protection or mental health settings.
- Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) qualification.
