Job Title: CQC Registered Manager - Personal Care and TDDI Services

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CQC Registered Manager to lead and manage our care services in Hertfordshire. As the Registered Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the service delivery, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations for Personal Care and TDDI services.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership and Management:
    • Provide effective leadership and management of care staff, ensuring they are well-supported and adequately trained to deliver high-quality care.
    • Oversee the daily operations of care services, ensuring that care provision aligns with the organization's values, standards, and CQC requirements.
    • Manage staff recruitment, training, and development to maintain a competent and motivated workforce.
  2. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and guidelines, particularly for Personal Care and TDDI services.
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments of care practices to ensure the highest standards of service delivery and regulatory compliance.
    • Implement and maintain robust policies and procedures in line with CQC regulations, ensuring effective safeguarding of service users.
  3. Care Planning and Monitoring:
    • Oversee the development, implementation, and review of person-centered care plans for service users, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.
    • Monitor care delivery, ensuring that service users receive safe, compassionate, and personalized care that promotes independence and dignity.
    • Manage risk assessments and respond appropriately to incidents or concerns, ensuring lessons are learned and improvements made.
  4. Communication and Liaison:
    • Maintain effective communication with service users, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure that care needs are met and expectations managed.
    • Work closely with external stakeholders, including local authorities and healthcare providers, to maintain collaborative partnerships and support service user referrals.
  5. Financial and Operational Management:
    • Manage the service's budget and resources efficiently, ensuring financial sustainability while maintaining high-quality care provision.
    • Oversee scheduling, rota management, and ensure the availability of adequate staff to meet service demand.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
  1. CQC Registration: You must hold or be eligible to hold CQC Registered Manager status for Personal Care and TDDI services.
  2. Qualifications:
    • A relevant Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or equivalent qualification.
    • Additional qualifications related to care management, nursing, or healthcare would be beneficial.
  3. Experience:
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a managerial or senior supervisory role within the care sector.
    • Proven experience managing Personal Care and/or TDDI services, including service delivery for individuals with complex needs.
    • Strong understanding of CQC regulations and experience of successfully managing CQC inspections.
  4. Skills and Attributes:
    • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with service users, staff, and external stakeholders.
    • Compassionate and person-centered approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions under pressure and manage complex situations.
    • IT literate, with experience using care management systems and Microsoft Office.
