Location: Birmingham

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced caretaker to join our team at a primary school in Birmingham. As a caretaker, you will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day general maintenance and site work, ensuring the school premises are safe and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out general maintenance and DIY works around the school site
  • Deal with external contractor visits and liaise with contractors through any major works
  • Open and close the school buildings
  • Move furniture/equipment when required
  • Conduct fire safety checks and legionella checks

Requirements:

  • Sound technical knowledge of buildings and maintenance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • DBS on the update service

What We Offer:

This is a full-time, temporary placement with the option to become permanent for the right candidate. You must be available for an immediate start.
