Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled UK Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team at Grant Thornton Ireland. As a key member of our audit practice, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in financial reporting matters related to UK-adopted International Accounting Standards, UK GAAP and UK company law and regulation.

Main Responsibilities:
- Carry out technical reviews of financial statements for medium & large UK-incorporated entities, including listed and public interest entities;
- Respond to technical queries raised by engagement teams on UK-adopted International Accounting Standards, UK GAAP and UK company law and regulation;
- Carry out technical reviews of non-standard audit reports prepared under International or UK ISAs;
- Project-manage the standardisation of templates across various jurisdictions served by the firm;
- Prepare guidance, including factsheets and templates, as a resource for teams carrying out UK engagements, including delivering training on these where required;
- Liaise with other departments, including those within the Risk, Compliance and Professional Standards team, such as Sustainability, Innovation and Legal, where tasks require input from several areas.

Requirements:
- Strong technical financial reporting skills;
- ACCA / ACA qualified (or equivalent);
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a small team;
- Ability to use own initiative;
- Able to train and coach peers;
- Confidence and ability to engage with senior staff and partners;
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Reward and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as pension scheme, life assurance and annual leave.
