About the Role



We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our client in Belfast. This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified accountant or someone looking to transition into industry, with a competitive salary of up to £42,000 per annum.



Key Responsibilities




  • Assist in preparing monthly and year-end financial statements, working closely with the Financial Controller to develop internal reporting and enhance systems and business efficiencies.
  • Provide detailed supporting schedules to the Financial Controller and auditors, as well as collaborate on production efficiency and consolidated accounts.
  • Contribute to cash flow forecasts and assist in developing automated reporting systems.
  • Support the month-end and annual close processes, including accounting entries, balance sheet reconciliation, fixed asset depreciation, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Prepare journal entries and perform monthly account reconciliations, as well as assist in preparing VAT returns.
  • Help resolve ad hoc accounting issues and queries, ensuring intercompany balances between subsidiaries are maintained.


Requirements




  • Newly qualified accountant or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience with Excel and financial systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
