Job Summary

MW Appointments is seeking an Apprentice Insurance Broker to join their growing Management Risk team in London. As an Apprentice Insurance Broker, you will play a vital role in servicing the insurance needs of clients, ensuring that documents are obtained and dispatched promptly, and all issues are dealt with quickly and effectively.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support management and colleagues in the company, providing administrative assistance and contributing to the team's success.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of insurance basics, principles, and the insurance broking market, staying up-to-date with industry developments and trends.
  • Respond to client inquiries in a professional and efficient manner, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, insurers, third parties, and other stakeholders, using strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Generate system correspondence to clients, insurers, and third parties, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Notify insurers of changes and new cover issued, maintaining accurate records and ensuring seamless communication.
  • Process, check, and dispatch policy documentation to clients, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Process mid-term adjustments allocated, updating records and ensuring accurate information.
  • Issue Renewal Review Notices and documentation, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Update records following changes or amendments to risk details, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Pursue and secure outstanding renewal premiums, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Create new policy records for new risks allocated, ensuring accurate and timely information.

Requirements:

  • On-target or completed 3 A-Levels or equivalent (Grade C or above)
  • At least 5 GCSES (Grade C or above)
  • Strong IT skills, with proficiency in relevant software and systems
  • Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work within a team or individually, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
