About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Healthcare Assistant to join our team at City View Medical Practice. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in the delivery of clinical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion, and patient education.
  • Deliver and assist in the provision of new patient health checks, Part 1 of Long Term Condition Reviews, ECG recording, phlebotomy, blood pressure checks, dressings, flu and B12 injections, chaperoning duties, and processing and management of laboratory samples.
  • Maintain surgical equipment, vaccine and cold chain storage, monitoring, and recording.
  • Clear and re-stock consulting rooms, prepare and maintain environments and equipment before, during, and after patient care interventions.
  • Assist in the assessment and surveillance of patients' health and well-being.
  • Undertake specific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual.
Requirements
  • Healthcare qualification (level 3 or 4) or working towards gaining equivalent level.
  • Experience of working with the general public and in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong IT skills, and ability to work as a team member and autonomously.
  • Ability to follow clinical policy and procedure, and commitment to ongoing professional development.
