Key Responsibilities- Assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion, and patient education.
- Deliver and assist in the provision of new patient health checks, Part 1 of Long Term Condition Reviews, ECG recording, phlebotomy, blood pressure checks, dressings, flu and B12 injections, chaperoning duties, and processing and management of laboratory samples.
- Maintain surgical equipment, vaccine and cold chain storage, monitoring, and recording.
- Clear and re-stock consulting rooms, prepare and maintain environments and equipment before, during, and after patient care interventions.
- Assist in the assessment and surveillance of patients' health and well-being.
- Undertake specific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual.
- Healthcare qualification (level 3 or 4) or working towards gaining equivalent level.
- Experience of working with the general public and in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication skills, strong IT skills, and ability to work as a team member and autonomously.
- Ability to follow clinical policy and procedure, and commitment to ongoing professional development.
