About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join our team at Future Education. As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with specific behavioural needs, promoting positive behaviour, and enhancing their learning experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with behavioural and educational needs, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
  • Assist with task comprehension and engagement during lessons, ensuring students stay focused and motivated.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies from the Individual Education Plan (IEP), working closely with teachers and other support staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record behaviour, providing constructive feedback to staff and contributing to the development of effective behaviour management plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt lesson plans, ensuring that students with behavioural needs receive tailored support and accommodations.
  • Support social skills development and positive peer interactions, helping students to build strong relationships with their peers and develop essential life skills.
  • Offer emotional support and promote self-regulation, helping students to manage their emotions and develop resilience.
  • Maintain accurate records of progress and behaviour incidents, providing valuable insights for teachers and other support staff.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities, staying up-to-date with best practices in behaviour management and special educational needs.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, with a strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other support staff.
