Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Children's Specialist Support Coordinator to join our team at FearFree. This role is part of the Wiltshire Project, which provides vital support services to victims of domestic abuse and their families.

In this challenging yet rewarding position, you will work closely with children and young people who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse. Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality, specialist support to help them overcome the trauma they have faced.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a multi-agency framework. A strong understanding of safeguarding principles and practices is also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of low to high-risk children and young people, providing individualized support and guidance to empower them to make informed decisions.
  • Conduct initial assessments to identify the needs of each child, developing tailored support plans to address their specific requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting children and young people.
  • Deliver educational sessions and activities to promote self-awareness, confidence, and participation among your clients.
Requirements
  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, psychology, or education)
  • Experience working with vulnerable children and young people, preferably in a domestic abuse context
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding principles and practices
  • Possession of a valid driving license and willingness to travel across Wiltshire
Salary and Benefits
