About the Role

The Working Supervisor - Grounds Maintenance will play a crucial role in the day-to-day management of our contracts, ensuring the smooth operation of our grounds maintenance services. This position involves coordinating the planning of works, managing the performance of contract staff, and assisting Contract Managers in delivering the requirements of our Telford Contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the day-to-day running of contracts, including planning of works and managing the performance of contract staff.
  • Assist Contract Managers in delivering the requirements of our Telford Contract.
  • Manage the performance of contract staff through regular activity briefings and toolbox talks.
  • Provide opportunities for direct reports to discuss their work, challenges, and aspirations.
  • Review and manage costs and expenditure to ensure targets are met.
  • Manage budgets accordingly.
  • Hold relevant qualifications, including IOSH level, horticultural qualification, and a driving license.
