Job Summary

Celestar Corporation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team. As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will provide administrative support to our team, ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the team, including records and file management, employee in- and out-processing, and correspondence drafting and routing.
  • Assist in managing DOD, DSS, and local office policies and programs.
  • Support the field office chief in scheduling and coordinate travel planning using the Defense Travel System (DTS).
  • Manage office equipment and supply inventory, and maintain the Government timecard program (DAI).
  • Receive and route office mail and correspondence, and manage the task management (CATMS) system.
  • Assist in the execution of the office training program and input and manage data bases as directed.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of administrative experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the Defense Travel System (DTS) and timekeeping management programs.

Work Environment

  • This is an in-office position with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting up to 20 lbs., constant sitting while using a computer, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities to communicate, and constant mental alertness.
  • Must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines.
