Baltic Recruitment is proud to be supporting our esteemed client, a leading Print & Packaging company, in their search for a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer.

About the Role:

  1. As a key member of the site team, you will be responsible for providing emergency breakdown response to production machinery and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  2. You will also be responsible for carrying out regular planned maintenance, as per the schedule, to prevent equipment failures and optimize performance.
  3. Working closely with the UK Engineering Manager, you will provide assistance with design, specifying, purchasing, and organizing installations, as well as providing ideas and suggestions for improving all aspects of engineering on site.
  4. You will be responsible for accurately filling in all records and documentation relating to planned or unplanned maintenance of the equipment, ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  5. Additionally, you will support and assist members of the site management team with regards to maximizing machine utilization, ensuring that all mechanical and electrical repairs, as well as maintenance to all services, machinery, and equipment, are actioned in a timely and efficient manner.
  6. You will closely monitor the performance of all production equipment, noting any problem areas or recurring faults, and offer ideas for improvements, as well as carrying out any agreed modifications as necessary.
  7. Ensuring a safe system of work and risk assessments throughout the course of day-to-day duties, you will also organize external service engineers and contractors, ensuring that all contractors adopt safe systems of work.
  8. Finally, you will ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the Company's health and safety procedures and statutory requirements.

Requirements:

  1. A relevant engineering qualification, electrical, and ideally time-served experience.
  2. Similar experience working within a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
  3. Experience working with motors, drives, PLCs, gearboxes, and transmissions.

The Package:

  1. £42,000 per annum.
  2. Working a continental 4 on 4 off shift pattern, rotating between days and nights.
