Job Title: Apprentice Maintenance Engineer

Baltic Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in the Print and Packaging industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide emergency breakdown response to production machinery and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal production levels.
  2. Perform regular planned maintenance, adhering to schedules and protocols to prevent equipment failure.
  3. Collaborate with the UK Engineering Manager on projects, providing assistance with design, specification, purchasing, and installation.
  4. Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve engineering processes and efficiency on site.
  5. Maintain accurate records and documentation of maintenance activities, including planned and unplanned maintenance.
  6. Support site management in maximizing machine utilization and ensuring optimal production levels.
  7. Ensure all mechanical and electrical repairs, as well as maintenance of services, machinery, and equipment, are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  8. Monitor equipment performance, identifying problem areas and recurring faults, and implementing improvements as necessary.
  9. Ensure all items removed from stores are accounted for, and relevant records are maintained.
  10. Maintain a safe system of work and risk assessments throughout daily duties.
  11. Organize external service engineers and contractors, ensuring they adhere to safe systems of work.
  12. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company health and safety procedures and statutory requirements.
Requirements:
  1. Relevant engineering qualification, preferably electrical, and time-served experience.
  2. Similar experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  3. Experience working with motors, drives, PLCs, gearboxes, and transmissions.
The Package:
  1. £42,000 per annum.
  2. Continental 4 on 4 off shift pattern, rotating between days and nights.
