Salary

The estimated salary for this position is £18.50 per hour, with opportunities for overtime and bonuses based on project performance.

Job DescriptionMain Responsibilities
  • To play a key role in managing complex rail projects, ensuring successful service delivery from start to finish.
  • To support daily client interactions, ensuring that client objectives are met and projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Tasks
  • Advising at a strategic level during project inception, providing expert guidance on approaches to achieve client objectives.
  • Preparing and maintaining project requirements definitions.
  • Establishing success criteria, including time, cost, technical, and performance parameters.
  • Developing and implementing effective project governance, processes, and systems.
  • Managing project schedules, including producing master project plans.
  • Leading cross-functional project teams and facilitating collaboration.
  • Maintaining performance management techniques, using KPIs to improve project performance.
  • Coordinating change control processes.
  • Managing project information flow between the team and client through regular meetings and written communications.
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks.
  • Prepared formal project progress reports.
  • Interfacing with clients, other consultants, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Providing guidance on Health & Safety and Environmental issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience working on major rail projects.
  • Preferred experience in complex stakeholder environments.
  • NEC3: ECC Project Manager accreditation is desirable.
  • Chartered/qualified status with ICE, APM, RICS, or equivalent is preferred.
