We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Progress Rail, a leading provider of rolling stock and infrastructure solutions for the global rail industry.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including operating CNC milling machines, producing machined components, and ensuring the quality of products.

The role is perfect for someone with experience in manufacturing, preferably in a medium to heavy environment, who is looking to take their skills to the next level.

About the Role:
  • Operate CNC milling machines to produce high-quality machined components
  • Follow route card instructions and read engineering drawings to ensure accuracy
  • Use dial test indicators (DTIs) and clocking systems to probe and set up jobs
  • Load the correct NC programs and tooling for parts to be machined
  • Inspect products for quality and accuracy using conventional measurement techniques
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, preferably in a medium to heavy environment
  • CNC milling experience and knowledge of Fanuc, Heidenheim, and Siemens control systems
  • Awareness of safety legislation and quality procedures (ISO 9001)
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
