Job Advertisement: Design and Technology Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, maintain, and organise materials, tools, and equipment for practical DT lessons.
  • Support teachers and students during practical sessions, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Assist with the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain an organised and well-stocked workshop and classroom environment.
  • Provide technical support to staff and students, offering guidance on the safe use of tools and machinery.
  • Manage stock levels and place orders for materials and equipment as required.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have relevant qualifications and experience in a DT workshop environment.
  • Possess strong technical skills and a working knowledge of health and safety procedures.
  • Be organised, proactive, and capable of working independently.
  • Have excellent communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with staff and students.
  • Be passionate about supporting the learning and development of young people.
