About the Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Arrears and Litigation Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the servicing of mortgages throughout the complete cycle, delivering workout solutions to customers experiencing payment difficulties, and overseeing the litigation process via liaison with solicitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver accurate and timely processing of mortgage administration activities
  • Regular communication with customers experiencing payment difficulties
  • Discuss and negotiate arrears workout options (e.g., arrangements, capitalisation, loan workouts, shortfall sales)
  • Monitor agreed workout strategies to ensure compliance and take further action as appropriate
  • Analyse problems, think creatively, and make effective decisions in a timely manner
Requirements
  • Prior exposure to operational loans
  • Experience working with customers experiencing financial difficulties
  • Ability to offer outstanding customer service
  • Ability to effectively relate to the customer and communicate pertinent information clearly
  • Experience within the Financial Services industry with a consumer finance business
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements and their impact on the business
  • Collections experience is desirable but not essential
