Job Title: Inorganic Technical Team Leader - Laboratory Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Inorganic Technical Team Leader to join our team at Eurofins UK Environment Testing. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for leading a team of scientists and technicians to ensure the accurate and timely generation of data in line with client expectations and UKAS standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of scientists and technicians to ensure the generation of accurate and timely data.
  • Maintain the Eurofins Chemtest Quality Management System, including root cause analysis, PT investigations, and control chart monitoring.
  • Assist in the maintenance of analytical instrumentation and equipment, ensuring they are kept in a clean and serviceable condition.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with the Divisional Manager to ensure the team meets turnaround deadlines and client expectations.
  • Manage the performance, training, and development of staff, conducting regular appraisals and providing feedback.
  • Stand in for the laboratory manager in meetings and other situations as required.

Requirements:

  • Degree/HNC or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in analytical chemistry, preferably in environmental chemistry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in PC software and analytical instrumentation.
