Job Title: Inorganic Technical Team Leader - Laboratory Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Inorganic Technical Team Leader to join our team at Eurofins UK Environment Testing. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of technical specialists to ensure the delivery of high-quality analytical results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of technical specialists to ensure the generation of accurate and timely data in line with client expectations and UKAS standards.
  • Maintain the Eurofins Chemtest Quality Management System, including root cause analysis, PT investigations, and control chart monitoring.
  • Assist in the maintenance of analytical instrumentation and equipment, ensuring they are kept in a clean and serviceable condition.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of analytical results.
  • Collaborate with the Divisional Manager to identify and address any quality or operational issues.
  • Manage the performance, training, and development of staff, conducting regular appraisals and providing feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including UKAS and ISO 17025.

Requirements:

  • Degree/HNC or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in analytical chemistry, preferably in an environmental testing laboratory.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of supervising a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and laboratory information management systems.
