Job Title: Agile Transformation Engineer

At Cadent, we're committed to driving innovation and excellence in the UK energy sector. As an Agile Transformation Engineer, you'll play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture and driving strategy through expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Problem Solving: Identify and address potential roadblocks, risks, and dependencies across teams.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with Product Management to provide regular updates on the release train's status, risks, and achievements.
  • Agile Leadership: Provide servant leadership to Agile teams within the release train, guiding them in adopting and implementing Agile principles, values, and practices effectively.
  • Release Planning and Execution: Lead the release planning process by collaborating with Product Owners, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to establish release goals, scope, and schedules.
  • Facilitation: Organize and facilitate key Agile ceremonies, including Program Increment (PI) Planning, Scrum of Scrums, Inspect and Adapt workshops, and more.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report key metrics related to the release train's progress, velocity, and performance. Use data-driven insights to continuously improve the Agile processes and outcomes.
  • Finances: Support the financial monetary budgets by tracking and flagging any derailment to committed deliverables within your ART.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Coach and mentor Agile teams, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners on Agile principles and practices.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Release Train Engineer or in a similar Agile leadership role, preferably within a software development environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
  • Proficiency in Agile tools and software development lifecycle management platforms.
  • Certifications such as SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or similar Agile certifications are desirable.
