Rural Skills Instructor

We are seeking an experienced Rural Skills Instructor to join our team at Brinsbury College. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture and be able to teach students rural skills such as livestock management and basic machinery operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about farming and eager to share their knowledge and skills with the next generation. As a key member of our Farm team, you will be responsible for teaching students rural skills, managing our livestock and field and estate work, and collaborating with colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching students rural skills such as livestock management and basic machinery operation
  • Managing our livestock, including daily care and husbandry tasks
  • Assisting with field and estate work, such as land maintenance and crop management
  • Collaborating with colleagues on projects and activities related to animal care and agriculture

Requirements:

  • A minimum Level 2 qualification in Agriculture or a relevant subject area
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Industrial experience in Agriculture, preferably in a farm or agricultural setting
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and procedures
