Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Coordinator to join our team at PerkinElmer. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling and planning day-to-day activities related to equipment supported by Scientific Lab Instrument Service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with lab staff and all services to ensure the level of service meets the needs of scientists.
  • Act as the first point of contact for Third-Party contractors arriving at site, ensuring they have valid EHS and GMP induction prior to commencement of work.
  • Manage all Third-Party contractors in line with GSK procedures.
  • Support the raising, monitoring, and closing out of work orders, equipment maintenance/repair, IT Services, and infrastructure.
  • Educate users on new equipment and technologies.
  • Schedule all off-site calibration send away for as identified by the CMMS.
  • Communicate with end-users and third-party contractors to determine priority of the work to be performed and gain agreement on an appropriate date for the service and/or repair.
  • Keep end-users apprised as to the status of the work order until completion of the work.
  • Update and maintain records to ensure they accurately reflect current status of BioCTL equipment. Where changes affect GxP equipment, ensure complaint procedures have been followed.
  • Banish errors and inefficiencies in the laboratory environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with end-users and Third-Party Contractors.
  • Track, report, and facilitate on-time BioCTL lab equipment availability.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory.
  • Liaise with End-users and validation team to develop safety stock and inventory plans to meet testing plans.
  • Deliver and collect Pipettes to Pipette Clinic on a monthly basis.
  • Verify that equipment owners sign off service reports and manage supporting documentation.
  • Effectively utilize asset management and CRM System.
  • Coordinate temporary password login details for vendor access when required.
