Production Planning Specialist

Job Summary:

The Compleat Food Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Production Planning Specialist to join our team at our Clitheroe site. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth running of our production day by minimizing changeovers and maximizing production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate production plans, including product information, planning speed, and labor requirements.
  • Update date sheets with correct information and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Collect and analyze data on Finished Good storage, sales demand, and forecasts to inform production decisions.
  • Prepare and present reports on production performance and site achievements to senior management.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, including staff shortages and machinery malfunctions, to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Determine customer requirements and liaise with NPD teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Forward plan production schedules, taking into account forecasts, capacity, and customer demand.
  • Coordinate with Transport functions to optimize trailer usage and ensure timely delivery of products to customers.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in food manufacturing, preferably within an FMCG environment.
  • HACCP and Food Safety Training or basic knowledge.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to identify solutions to complex problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Proficient in Excel and other relevant software applications.
