Financial Controller - Supply Chain

Are you a skilled financial professional looking for a new challenge? We're seeking a Financial Controller to join our team at Au Vodka, a dynamic and fast-paced company in the spirits industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a 13-week cash flow forecast model and reporting pack
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy
  • Manage vendor payments and associated approvals and reporting
  • Create monthly working capital reporting and interpret insights and issues
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure system records are accurate and resolve any issues
  • Develop key policies and procedures, including Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Inventory, and Treasury
  • File the monthly UK VAT return and ensure timely submission of VAT returns in the Netherlands
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and business banking across multiple currencies
  • Reconcile excise duty accounts on a monthly basis and make timely payments
  • Lead the annual audit with a top 10 audit firm
  • Prepare quarterly Board working capital reports for the CFO
  • Manage UK payroll and non-UK payrolls processed by third-party agents
  • Contribute to the FP&A team to ensure management accounts accuracy and timeliness
Requirements:
  • Qualified accountant with 3+ years of experience in a relevant role
  • Excellent Excel skills and experience working with inventory
  • Knowledge of UK VAT and experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Understanding of audit and ability to work with auditors
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills
  • Able to troubleshoot and solve issues
  • Self-motivated and organized with a pragmatic approach to work
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Experience with Xero software and Cin7 WMS software
  • Experience working in a fast-growing business and accounting for UK and international excise duties in the alcohol industry
  • International finance experience and knowledge of audit and accounting standards
