Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at Au Vodka, a leading spirit brand in the UK. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in driving our business forward and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a 13-week cash flow forecast model and reporting pack
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy
- Manage vendor payments and associated approvals and reporting
- Create monthly working capital reporting and interpret insights and issues
- Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure system records are accurate and resolve any issues
- Develop key policies and procedures, including Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Inventory, and Treasury
- File the monthly UK VAT return and ensure timely submission of VAT returns in the Netherlands
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and manage business banking across multiple currencies
- Reconcile excise duty accounts on a monthly basis and ensure timely payments
- Lead the annual audit process with a top 10 audit firm
- Prepare quarterly Board working capital reports for the CFO
- Manage UK payroll and non-UK payrolls processed by third-party agents
- Contribute to the FP&A team to ensure accurate and timely management accounts
- Qualified accountant with 3+ years of experience in a relevant role
- Excellent Excel skills and experience with inventory management
- Knowledge of UK VAT and experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Ability to work with auditors and ensure timely completion of audits
- Excellent communication and business partnering skills
- Self-motivated and able to prioritize effectively
- Experience with Xero software and Cin7 WMS software
- International finance experience and knowledge of accounting standards
