Director, Real World Evidence Specialist

Role OverviewThe demand for high-quality real-world evidence (RWE) and health outcomes (HO) research to support drug development/access decisions, product differentiation, and clinical decision-making continues to increase. The purpose of the Value, Evidence, and Outcomes (VEO) International team is to accelerate equitable patient access and transform healthcare delivery through the execution and communication of bold, high-impact science.
Responsibilities- Develop and oversee RWE research strategy for compounds in the Lilly portfolio in the relevant therapeutic area(s).
- Drive sustained integration of RWE/HO from early clinical development through commercialization.
- Formulate and drive RWE/HO for priority products and geographies.
- Develop bold, high-impact science for products across the lifecycle to influence and support evidence needs for Lilly products in support of improving patient outcomes.
- Apply technical expertise appropriate for the role within a therapeutic area.
- Effectively communicate RWE/HO information to internal business partners, the scientific community, and customers.
- Doctorate (PhD, MD) OR PharmD/MS degree with significant experience in creating, executing, and delivering outcomes strategies/projects.
- Proven track record in leading impactful real-world evidence from study concept to dissemination of findings.
- Substantial experience in designing innovative and/or applying advanced methods for RWE studies.
- Strong comprehension and communication skills, including the ability to translate and disseminate complex scientific information in a clear and concise manner.
- Understanding of healthcare systems in at least one of Europe and/or Asia.
- Understanding of and experience with healthcare delivery models and clinical research.
- Technical and analytic capabilities across the following areas: real-world evidence, patient-focused outcomes, burden of disease, epidemiology, statistics, healthcare policy.
