About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance and Repair Specialist to join our team. As a Surveyor for Repairs and Maintenance, you will be responsible for providing technical solutions and programs of work to address responsive repairs, void property repairs, and projects across a defined geographical area.

Key responsibilities include understanding business requirements and resident requests, ensuring works are properly specified and delivered, and maintaining a high level of resident satisfaction. You will work closely with colleagues in Planned Maintenance and Housing to ensure that work managed hits KPI targets.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a professional qualification or equivalent experience in a maintenance, construction field. You will also have a fundamental knowledge of the construction industry and a specific understanding of the Decent Homes Standard and Housing Health and Safety Rating System.

Additionally, you will have experience of procurement best practice, procuring contracts, and managing external contractors and suppliers. You will be able to work in a cross-cutting role, collaborating with other services and teams, and have the ability to resolve conflict and influence people.
