About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Dimensional Metrology Engineer to join our team at Trescal, a global leader in calibration services. As a Dimensional Metrology Engineer, you will be responsible for using and calibrating various measurement tools, including dti, verniers, mics surface tables, vee blocks, and hand-held mechanical gauges.

You will work to primary standards in support of Trescal contracts, maintaining relevant records of work, data, and results in a traceable and auditable manner using the Trescal EMS management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calibrate and maintain measurement tools to ensure accuracy and precision
  • Work to primary standards in support of Trescal contracts
  • Maintain relevant records of work, data, and results
  • Participate in external and internal audits as required

Requirements:

  • Technical qualification such as degree, HND, HNC, NVQ/BTEC, level 3 or above
  • Extensive calibration and CMM knowledge
  • Ability to create new programs and use software for CMM Mitutoyo mcosmos v5
  • Good understanding of GD&T
  • Interpret and work from customer specifications, drawings, and CAD models
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of Windows-based and laboratory automation software
  • Experience working within a customer-focused environment
