About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Dimensional Metrology Engineer to join our team at Collins Wolverhampton. As a key member of our calibration services team, you will be responsible for using and calibrating various measurement tools, including dti, verniers, mics surface tables, vee blocks, and hand-held mechanical gauges. You will work to primary standards in support of our contract at Collins and maintain relevant records of work, data, and results in a traceable and auditable manner using our Trescal EMS management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calibrate and maintain measurement tools and equipment
  • Work to primary standards in support of our contract at Collins
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of work, data, and results
  • Participate in external and internal audits as required by our Quality Manager
Requirements
  • Technical qualification such as degree, HND, HNC, NVQ/BTEC, level 3 or above
  • Extensive calibration and CMM knowledge
  • Ability to create new programs and use software for CMM Mitutoyo mcosmos v5
  • Good understanding of GD&T
  • Ability to interpret and work from customer specifications, drawings, and CAD models
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of Windows-based and laboratory automation software
  • Experience working in a customer-focused environment
