About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Dimensional Metrology Engineer to join our team at Collins Wolverhampton. As a key member of our calibration services team, you will be responsible for calibrating and maintaining a range of measurement equipment, including dti, verniers, mics, surface tables, and vee blocks. You will work closely with our Trescal contract team to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calibrate and maintain measurement equipment to primary standards
  • Develop and implement new calibration programs and procedures
  • Collaborate with the Trescal contract team to ensure accurate and reliable measurements
  • Maintain accurate records of work, data, and results in a traceable and auditable manner
  • Participate in external and internal audits as required by the Trescal Quality Manager
Requirements
  • Technical qualification such as degree, HND, HNC, NVQ/BTEC, level 3 or above
  • Extensive calibration and CMM knowledge
  • Ability to create new programs and use software for CMM Mitutoyo mcosmos v5
  • Good understanding of GD&T
  • Interpret and work from customer specifications, drawings, and CAD models
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of Windows-based and laboratory automation software
  • Experience working within a customer-focused environment
