About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fashion Design Director to join our team at MacGregor Black. As a Senior Fashion Design Director, you will be responsible for leading our design team and creating innovative and customer-centric products that align with our brand's creative vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the overall design and development of collections across all departments, following the creative direction set by our Founder and Head of Design.
- Lead design categories independently or in collaboration with our Founder and wider design teams, creating products from initial concept to finished garments.
- Conduct trend research relevant to our brand's customer base, ensuring innovative designs aligned with our brand DNA.
- Liaise daily with factories and suppliers to maintain smooth production processes.
- Provide mentorship to the design team, sharing experience and expertise to support their growth and development.
- Utilize excellent CAD skills and hand-drawing abilities to clearly communicate design ideas.
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of garment construction, fitting, and a strong commercial handwriting with an eye for colour, print, proportion, and detail.
- Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and CAD design.
