Job Description

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Relationship Manager to join our team at Hdfc Bank. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and business generation, relationship building and maintenance, delinquency rotation and recovery, farmer education and capacity building, increased penetration and cross sell, and training and development of sales officers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and Business Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in rural markets, build relationships with farmers, agro centers, and rural mandis to source proposals and ensure timely decisioning of proposals.
  • Relationship Building and Maintenance: Liaise with new and existing customers to build and maintain strong relationships, address customer complaints, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Delinquency Rotation and Recovery: Work towards minimizing delinquency in the portfolio, monitor rotation of accounts, and ensure submission of documents to avoid dropping of limits.
  • Farmer Education and Capacity Building: Conduct village-level farmer meetings to educate farmers on various products offered by the bank.
  • Increased Penetration and Cross Sell: Cross-sell other assets and liability products, promote digital platforms, and increase penetration in rural markets.
  • Training and Development of Sales Officers: Utilize sales resources for optimal sales support, monitor performance, and counsel sales officers for delivery.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar role or sales experience in seed companies, fertilizer companies, agri-product companies, banks, etc.
  • Skills: Sales and influencing skills, banking product and process knowledge, planning and organizing skills, communication skills, and knowledge of competition and current trends in the financial industry.
