About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Senior Sous Chef to join our skilled kitchen team at Solent Hotel & Spa.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in effective kitchen management, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Produce high-quality food from scratch for all menus, adhering to our culinary standards.
  • Manage a section in the kitchen, cooking from fresh ingredients and maintaining a high level of food safety.
  • Eliminate wasteful or unprofitable practices, optimizing kitchen efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
  • Control the order and storage of food supplies, minimizing waste and excess.
  • Support the delivery of financial targets, contributing to the hotel's success.
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with experience working with fresh ingredients and cooking from scratch. A flair for cooking and the ability to innovate are essential. Proven previous experience is necessary, and a team player with a commitment to excellence is ideal.
