About the Job: We are seeking a dedicated SEN Support Assistant to join our team at a well-regarded school in Exeter. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping children with Autism and supporting their development. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach and flexible attitude to adapt to individual student needs, as well as a genuine passion for helping children with Autism and supporting their development. They should also be patient, empathetic, and able to manage challenging behaviour positively.

The key responsibilities of this role include providing one-to-one and small group support for children with Autism, assisting with academic and social development, implementing individual learning plans (IEPs) to help students achieve their goals, supporting communication and social interaction among students, promoting inclusion within the class, helping manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment, encouraging student engagement with the curriculum and providing necessary support, collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff members to ensure optimal outcomes for students, and assisting with personal care and other needs where required.

This position offers £84.00 per day, with opportunities for temporary positions to become permanent. Our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children means that all applicants undergo enhanced DBS checks before commencing employment.
