About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Support Shop Manager to join our team at Oxfam GB. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and providing operational support to our shops within a defined geographical area.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Create and Maintain Inclusive Shop Environments**: Develop and maintain inclusive, respectful, and safe environments in the shops, ensuring that all customers and staff feel valued and supported.
  • **Collaborate with Area Manager and Shop Managers**: Work closely with the Area Manager and shop managers to allocate shop cover effectively, ensuring seamless trading and maximizing income generation.
  • **Build Trusting Relationships**: Build trusting relationships with shop teams to maintain engaged and motivated teams, driving sales and customer satisfaction.
  • **Maximize Sales and Gift Aid**: Deliver continuous improvement support against specific KPIs, maximizing Net Sales Contribution (NSC) and Gift Aid (GA) in all covered shops to agreed targets.
  • **Develop and Deliver Feedback Framework**: Develop and deliver a framework for feedback and handovers, ensuring effective communication and knowledge sharing between team members.
  • **Contribute to Local Community and Retail Network**: Actively contribute to the local community and wider Retail network, promoting Oxfam's values and mission.
Requirements
  • **Previous Retail or Operational Management Experience**: Proven experience in retail or operational management, with a strong understanding of shop operations and customer service.
  • **Agile and Adaptable Working Style**: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • **Excellent Communication and Relationship-Building Skills**: Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with shop teams and stakeholders.
