Key Responsibilities- Support the Registered Manager by leading the day-to-day management of a shift, ensuring that the highest standard of care is in place for children with complex needs.
- Provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower your team in supporting children to achieve their goals and aspirations.
- Coordinate the shift, allocate child supervision, and prioritize care needs to ensure the well-being and safety of the children in our care.
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous records of involvement with children and their families, ensuring all documentation is completed and up to date before the end of shift.
- Act as an ambassador for Courtyard Care Ltd at all times, promoting a positive image of the organization and its values.
- Diploma in residential care or related subject, or commitment to complete within time-frame.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience, with knowledge of current legislation and ability to coordinate a shift and prioritize care needs.
- Effective communicator, both verbally and written, with ability to work on own initiative and as a team member.
- Ability to establish effective communication with children, staff, relatives, external agencies, and other professionals, with a good understanding of communication strategies for non-verbal learners.
- Driver of minibus, with ability to meet the physical demands of the post, including walking, standing, lifting, bending, working on the floor, twisting, and pushing any wheelchair within the children's premises and community environment.
The salary for this role is £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience, with opportunities for career progression and professional development. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including:
