Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic administrative professional to join our team as a Team Administrator in the Therapies Hub within Wigan Specialist Community Mental Health Team.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive and confidential administrative support to the team, including minute-taking, typing of letters, filing, diary management, and other general administrative duties.

Main Duties of the Job

The Team Administrator will be responsible for providing administrative support to the managers, including minute-taking, typing of letters, filing, diary management, and other general administrative duties.

Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) Foundation Trust employs over 6,400 members of staff, who deliver services from more than 160 locations.

We provide inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bolton, the city of Manchester, Salford, Trafford, and the borough of Wigan, and a wide range of specialist mental health and substance misuse services across Greater Manchester, the north west of England, and beyond.

Person Specification

Education / Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • Typing/WP RSAII or equivalent or demonstrable experience.

Desirable Criteria

  • ECDL NVQ2 Business Administration GCSE English grade A-C or equivalent.

Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Experience of working in an office environment.

Desirable Criteria

  • Audio Typing experience Experience of working within the NHS or related healthcare experience Experience of dealing with members of the public.

Knowledge

Essential Criteria

  • Knowledge of office procedures Familiar with Microsoft Office.

Desirable Criteria

  • Knowledge of Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook Awareness of Recovery Model Awareness of children/vulnerable adults guidelines.

Skills & Abilities

Essential Criteria

  • Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work as member of a team. Ability to operate and maintain filing systems both manual and electronic. Ability to develop effective interpersonal relationships with colleagues in the health care setting. Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of settings. Able to deal with sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy. Able to present factual information and refer questions to others where appropriate.
