Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to join our team at Holiday Inn Peterborough - Valor Hospitality. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the daily management of our food and beverage outlets, ensuring that the highest standards of service are provided to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain control measures to ensure that food and beverage costs, productivity, labor costs, and operating supply costs for the outlet are in line with budget.
  • Carry out duty management shifts according to business needs and participate in departmental meetings to review progress towards achievement of business plan goals.
  • Plan, organize, and direct the overall food and beverage operation, administration, marketing, and promotion of the outlet, and be responsible and accountable for its profitability and revenue generation.
  • Ensure clear communication with the Food and Beverage Manager, Head Chef, Conference and Events Manager, and Operations Manager.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly forecasts for restaurant, bar, and room service.
Requirements
  • Strong leadership skills with experience of implementing and maintaining control measures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and training skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and guests.
  • Good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work a range of shifts and days, including evenings and weekends.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service.
